Results Validated in a Research Setting
SCIENTIFIC FOUNDATION
FitoUP was developed in partnership with BioCorp and tested at the Carlos Chagas Filho Institute of Biophysics at the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro (UFRJ), with support from the Carlos Chagas Filho Foundation for Research Support of the State of Rio de Janeiro (FAPERJ). The study monitored plant development for more than 200 days, comparing treated and untreated groups.
Methodology
Two groups were compared under identical growing conditions: CON (control, without FitoUP) and FLO (treated with FitoUP).
Duration
More than 200 days of continuous monitoring, with periodic measurements of plant development.
Metric Analysed
Percentage of area occupied by the plant, used as an indicator of growth and measured through image analysis at each time point.
Mean Growth by Treatment
Illustrative graph based on the study data. The group treated with FitoUP showed consistently greater occupied area from the first 50 days onwards, with the difference remaining stable until the end of the evaluated period.
The study was conducted using Phalaenopsis orchids. The results indicate potential applications in both ornamental and agricultural crops, with further studies currently underway.
