Do you know what Bach Flower Remedies are?
Created in the 1930s by Dr. Edward Bach, flower therapy is part of integrative complementary medicine. Since 1976, it has been recognized by the World Health Organization (WHO) as an auxiliary therapy in the treatment of various diseases. Flower remedies can be used in a safe and natural way, and have no side effects or contraindications. And in 2006, ANVISA implemented flower therapy in the SUS (Unified Health System) as complementary and integrative medicine.
Bach flower remedies act on our vibrational field, raising our energetic frequency and leaving it at a healthy frequency level for longer (around 65 MHz). Therefore, it is not belief, but science!
"Illness is a crystallization of an emotional state in disharmony" (Bach, 2006)
The Bach flower system is made up of 38 flower essences, each of which helps to treat and deal with different emotional states or personality characteristics. Flower remedies help the body itself seek healing, by strengthening self-confidence, combating fear, anxiety and excessive worry, for example.
The main point of flower therapy is not to treat the disease, but rather the emotional state that generated the imbalance. Negative thinking generates a negative emotion. This negative emotion generates an energetic imbalance, which, when not “treated”, turns into physical illness, as we know it.
The therapist combines the essences according to each patient's needs, with a maximum of seven different essences being able to be mixed.
But what if I need more than seven essences?
Most likely you will need more than seven essences, but first let's take care of the emotion or emotions that are most evident, most intense. And with this “peeling of emotion”, as if it were “peeling an onion”, we begin to deal with the emotions that were most “hidden”.
1. Agrimony (Agrimonia Eupatoria) – Recommended for worries, torments and problems in general. It is very good for people who hide their feelings and concerns from other individuals. Agrimony helps to unlock anguish and depression in order to release the emotional state of those who feel trapped inside.
2. Aspen (Populus tremuloides) – Ideal for people who have vague fears or fear of something unexplained and/or unknown, bad thoughts, feeling afraid to go back to sleep because of nightmares. Suitable for children who are afraid of being alone and afraid of the dark.
3. Beech (Fagus sylvatica) – Recommended for people who have a tendency to judge and who like to exaggerate the facts they observe. It helps the individual to be more tolerant and understanding of the differences between people.
4. Centaury (Erythraea centaurium) – Helps with lack of initiative and weakness at decisive times. It helps the individual to seek their inner self, becoming more positive and more active.
5. Cerato (Cerastostigma willmottiana) – Helps in the search for individuality and in getting rid of negative influences from outside. Very good for people who don't feel confident and are always asking other people's opinions.
6. Cherry Plum (Prunus Cerasifera) – Recommended for those who feel afraid, it helps to ward off the idea of suicide in addition to controlling anxiety.
7. Chestnut Bud (Esculus hippocastanu) – For people who never take advantage of opportunities. Also ideal for people who keep repeating the same mistakes and who are unable to learn from life's experiences.
8. Chicory (Chicorium intybus) – Helps combat selfishness and possessiveness. Very good for people who can't see anything wrong. Helps in understanding love as a natural feeling.
9. Clematis (Clematis recta) – Helps a person to carry out their work and stability. It also helps with the lack of interest in life and rescues the attention span of the most inattentive.
10. Crab Apple (Malus pumila) – Ideal for interior cleaning. It helps to remove the idea of obsessiveness, thus freeing the person to understand physical disorders, so that they understand that this starts within themselves. Furthermore, it helps the person maintain control and reverse situations that are in disarray.
